The details of number portability have been announced, but these four types of numbers cannot be ported

Recently, the long-awaited number portability has finally arrived, and the three major operators have also announced the details of number portability. At the same time, the details also show that four types of numbers cannot be ported.

Specifically, if users want to transfer their number to another network, they must first meet the following five conditions:

  • The customer has registered his/her real identity information with the original telecom operator, i.e. real-name registration. The government and enterprise customers who registered with the company ID card should transfer the number to a natural person and then apply for number portability service;
  • In normal use (not reported lost, shut down, etc.);
  • Settle all the telecom charges that have been paid with the carrier. If there are any unpaid telecom charges, agree with the carrier on the payment time and method;
  • There is no agreement with the porter on a time limit for online use, or the time limit for online use has been lifted;
  • It has been 120 days (calendar days) since the last number portability.

However, it should be noted that the following four types of numbers do not provide number portability services at this stage: one is satellite mobile service numbers: network numbers such as 1349, 174, etc.; two is mobile communication resale numbers: network numbers such as 170, 171, 162, 165, 167, etc.; three is Internet of Things numbers: Internet of Things dedicated network numbers (such as 146, 148, 149, 140-144, 1064 numbers, etc.) and other ordinary public mobile communication network numbers used for Internet of Things applications; four is other situations that do not comply with national policy regulations.
