The TRUST principle for 6G network performance experience

The TRUST principle for 6G network performance experience

The International Seminar on Future Information and Communication Technology was held on the morning of November 20 during the 5G World Conference 2019. At the meeting, Yu Shaohua, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, introduced the development trends of 6G technology and network performance trends.

Regarding the trend and vision of the future 6G network, Academician Yu said that 5G may achieve a network that connects people, networks, and things. In the 6G era, the concept of "environment" will be added, and a new form of 4W network will emerge, that is, everyone is connected, everywhere is connected, all the time is connected, and everything is connected. For example, the sensor connection that is currently lacking in the entire industrial manufacturing process, such as chemical reactions, will be strengthened by then. By then, 6G technology will achieve a trillion-level interconnection of people-network-things-environment.

At the same time, the 6G network performance experience will be described by the TRUST principle, where T stands for Tb/s bandwidth, R stands for ultra-high reliability, U stands for ubiquitous connectivity, S stands for sub-millisecond latency, and T stands for terahertz spectrum.
