On the afternoon of July 31, 2020, the Kunpeng Application Innovation Competition 2020 (Zhejiang Division) briefing session was held at the Zhejiang Kunpeng Ecological Innovation Center. The meeting was hosted by Zhejiang Digital Economy Development Center, Hangzhou High-tech Zone (Binjiang) Management Committee, Government, Ningbo National High-tech Zone Management Committee, Zhejiang Kunpeng Ecological Innovation Center, Ningbo Kunpeng Computing Ecological Innovation Center, and co-organized by Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., Donghua Electronic Information Industry (Ningbo) Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Kunpeng Computing Industry Alliance, and Zhejiang Internet of Things Industry Association.

This innovation competition aims to stimulate industry innovation, promote talent training, and accelerate industrial integration. Through the joint organization of Kunpeng Ecological Innovation Centers across the country, it attracts developers from all industries to jointly create Kunpeng full-stack solutions and realize innovative applications of technology and business. This innovation competition focuses on corporate practitioners, university teachers and students in the ICT industry in Zhejiang Province, and has set up 5 competition topics: "Finance", "Government", "Big Data", "ARM Native Applications" and "Open Propositions". In addition, in order to encourage everyone's active participation, the total amount of award incentives for the competition is as high as 700,000.

(Introduction to Kunpeng Ecosystem)

The Kunpeng ecosystem was introduced in detail at the meeting. Ecology is a key component for the successful construction of the Kunpeng industry. Therefore, Huawei has unified the Kunpeng partner platform entrance and technical certification standards around the Kunpeng technology system, and built a Kunpeng ecosystem community for public cloud, private cloud, computing, data and storage, forming a joint force at the partner and customer interface, giving play to the combination effect of 1+1 greater than 2, accelerating the industrialization process of Kunpeng, and expanding the computing industry at the same time.

According to reports, Kunpeng R&D centers have been deployed in various innovation highlands around the world, building end-to-end industry competitiveness. 16 Kunpeng ecological innovation centers have also been deployed in China to accelerate the implementation of regional industries. It can be seen that the vigorous development of the Kunpeng computing industry has become a prairie fire. At present, various provinces are also actively seizing new opportunities for the development of the Kunpeng computing industry to drive the development of the local digital economy.

Kunpeng and Ascend have been deployed on a large scale in multiple industries related to national economy and people's livelihood. In the operator industry, China Mobile has purchased nearly 20,000 units in centralized procurement. China Telecom has built Tianyi Cloud based on Kunpeng, and China Unicom has built Tiangong IT system based on Kunpeng. In the financial industry, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, China Construction Bank, Agricultural Bank of China, People's Bank of China Clearing Center, China Merchants Bank, etc. have all built safe and reliable financial systems based on Kunpeng to help the financial industry develop steadily. In the power industry, we are working with the State Grid to build the State Grid Cloud based on Kunpeng, and Ascend is helping the State Grid to innovate intelligent inspection solutions for high-voltage lines based on AI video recognition. It can be seen that the Kunpeng ecological pattern has been basically established.

The meeting also introduced the Kunpeng certification process in detail, the two major help channels of Kunpeng Community and Kunpeng Xiaozhi, and the three development kits of analysis and scanning tools, code migration tools, and performance tuning tools. In addition, the current status of the Kunpeng ecosystem was introduced through the compatibility list.

(Introduction to Kunpeng Software)

Kunpeng platform software migration may be a new topic for some engineers who have not been exposed to the Kunpeng chip architecture, but as long as you find the right help channels and related support tools, you can achieve twice the result with half the effort. At the meeting, the relevant person in charge introduced the operating principles of Kunpeng software programs, the background and necessity of software migration, and introduced the five steps of migration preparation, migration analysis, compilation migration, performance tuning, testing and certification through the software migration process, as well as the specific matters of each step; analyzed how to perform performance tuning from the hardware characteristics, and also introduced the ideas of performance tuning in the project and commonly used performance collection tools. This allows everyone to understand the impact of hardware characteristics on software performance, how to combine hardware characteristics to maximize performance, and master the ideas of performance tuning and commonly used performance collection tools.
