China Mobile: More than 390,000 5G base stations will be opened throughout the year to ensure that the quality of 4G network will not decline

Dong Xin, general manager of China Mobile, said at the 6th China Brand Forum that China Mobile built and opened more than 390,000 5G base stations throughout the year, providing 5G services to all prefecture-level cities and some key county towns.

Dong Xin also pointed out that China Mobile has included all epidemic prevention and control sites across the country in the scope of key communications support, opened more than 30,000 10086 home service seats, and ensured that the network is not blocked, services are uninterrupted, and performance is not reduced. The 5G network deployment of Vulcan Mountain and Thunder God Mountain was completed in 36 hours.

In response to some doubts, China Mobile's general manager Dong Xin reiterated that the quality of the 4G network will not be reduced in order to promote 5G, but instead the quality of the 4G network will be ensured not to decline.

Prior to this, Yang Jie, chairman of China Mobile Group, said that as of now, China Mobile has exceeded its annual 5G construction target and provided 5G services to all prefecture-level cities and some key county towns across the country.

It is reported that China Mobile has built the world's largest 5G SA network. In addition, China Mobile has more than 100 million 5G package users, and its 5G network coverage and user scale are both the largest in the world.
