T-Mobile plans to provide super-capacity 5G network within three years

According to foreign media reports, T-Mobile plans to provide "super capacity 5G" to 90% of Americans by the end of 2023. The so-called super capacity 5G refers to T-Mobile's mid-band and millimeter wave 5G connections. The company also plans to provide slower extended range 5G in 97% of the United States by the end of 2022.


It is reported that 125 million people can now use T-Mobile's "Ultra Capacity 5G". According to the company, as T-Mobile builds out its 5G network using the spectrum acquired during its merger with Sprint, those who can use "Ultra Capacity 5G" can expect speeds to increase from 300Mb/s to 400Mb/s.

According to GSA statistics, as of January 2021, a total of 140 operators in 59 countries and regions around the world have officially launched 5G commercial services, and 412 operators are conducting 5G experimental verification or planning deployment. According to previous news from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, my country has built more than 480,000 5G base stations and the number of 5G online terminal connections has exceeded 100 million.
