Swarm Technologies was founded in 2016 and is committed to building an IoT constellation consisting of very small satellites in low-Earth orbit. The company provides low-bandwidth, low-power and relatively cheap satellite communications for corporate customers. Now, the company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of SpaceX and has 121 satellites in orbit.

Currently, SpaceX is working hard to build a powerful Starlink broadband to provide high-speed Internet access to users around the world.

SpaceX has launched more than 1,700 Starlink satellites to date, and the company said it plans to significantly increase that number in the coming years. Currently, the company's Starlink project is still in the testing phase.
