Nokia wins 5G network contracts in three European countries

On August 25, Finnish telecommunications equipment manufacturer Nokia said recently that it has won a 5G network order from A1 Telekom Austria Group (A1) for operations in Bulgaria, Serbia and Slovenia.

Nokia said: "This agreement will see Nokia offer its comprehensive AirScale portfolio of 5G RAN solutions to all three markets, as well as 5G standalone core networks to Serbia and Slovenia."

Data shows that as of April 2021, Nokia has 160 commercial 5G deals, more than 220 commercial 5G agreements, and 63 live networks. This includes 84 5G contracts signed with service providers: 13 in the Americas, 38 in Europe, 24 in Asia Pacific, and 9 in Africa.
