SAP HANA Express Edition for Developers Launched on Huawei Cloud

On September 5, during HUAWEI CONNECT 2017, Huawei and SAP jointly announced the launch of SAP HANA, Express Edition on Huawei Cloud in China. This is the first public cloud platform in China to support the deployment and application of SAP HANA Express Edition.

SAP HANA, Express Edition is a simplified version of SAP HANA Platform. It is completely free within 32GB of memory and includes most of the features of SAP HANA Enterprise Edition, such as in-memory database, application services, text analysis and mining, spatial data support, and advanced data analysis and processing engines such as graph computing. The simplified version provides a series of rich functions, including Streaming (streaming analysis), Fiori (product front-end UI development framework), enhanced data integration, advanced data analysis and other functions, aiming to help you quickly build applications with real-time massive data processing capabilities. These core functions can help users quickly develop SAP HANA applications, build prototype demonstrations, or deploy as a development and test environment. If you need more memory, you can contact SAP sales to purchase the corresponding license. Currently, it supports 64GB, 96GB, and 128GB. If you need more than 128GB of memory or more comprehensive enterprise-level functions, you can choose SAP HANA Enterprise Edition. Systems developed on SAP HANA, Express Edition can be smoothly migrated to the Enterprise Edition system.

SAP HANA, Express Edition is now available on Huawei Cloud in China

The SAP HANA Express Edition deployed on Huawei Cloud released this time is a free 32GB memory environment with basic configuration. Users only need to pay for the computing and storage resources of the cloud hardware architecture. Huawei provides a Huawei Cloud host with 4 vCPUs and 32GB.
