Activities surrounding "3.15" are in full swing, and a lot of data and results about rights protection have been disclosed, including payment institutions' rights protection and risk events.

Data shows that in 2017, Tencent's Tenpay (WeChat Pay) ranked first in terms of both the number of complaints and risk events. According to Tencent's explanation, in the past year, Tencent has been cooperating in combating online gambling and other illegal crimes, and has blocked some WeChat groups and accounts suspected of illegal activities. Therefore, a large number of complaints does not prove that the product and service is bad.

However, in the ranking of China's favorite Internet financial service brands, Alipay topped the list with a satisfaction rate of 81.6%, nearly 30 percentage points higher than the second-place WeChat Pay. This also indirectly shows that people love and trust Alipay. Alipay's Huabei and Jiebei products can get low-interest loans without any collateral, and there are also zero-threshold financial products such as Yu'ebao.

Satisfaction Survey

It can be said that without Alipay, the living standard of losers like me would drop a level. After all, we are the ultimate losers who have to pay 600 yuan in installments! Tears burst!

However, Jack Ma did not seem to show much interest in the list. He said: "The high number of complaints shows that WeChat Pay is more expansive, aggressive and active in some unfamiliar fields, which is exactly what I am worried about."

WeChat is so powerful that it makes Jack Ma feel uneasy. WeChat Pay is riding on the wave of WeChat to continuously transform social habits into payment habits. "WeChat anytime, WeChat Pay anytime" is not just a loud slogan. According to the development trend in recent years, WeChat Pay's domestic market share will soon be equal to that of Alipay, and may even surpass Alipay in the future.

However, judging from the current overseas expansion of Tencent and Alibaba, Alipay, owned by Alibaba, is more likely to go abroad and become a global hit. Tencent, with its social attributes, obviously lacks the gene for internationalization. Just like QQ in the past, WeChat's internationalization process was not smooth. From this perspective, Alipay may no longer regard WeChat Pay as a rival in the future!

Whether Jack Ma can make a comeback depends on whether Alibaba's internationalization process goes smoothly! Come on!
