Huawei Vice Chairman Ken Hu speaks at the 16th Global Analyst Conference

Huawei Vice Chairman Ken Hu shared his industry judgment and strategic determination. He said: "The intelligent world is within reach, and the ICT industry is moving towards a new level of development. Today, the development speed of 5G is far beyond expectations, with terminals and networks synchronized. We predict that there will be 2.8 billion 5G users in the world by 2025. Huawei will build a minimalist, powerful, and intelligent network to continue to create value for customers. The widespread use of AI is accelerating enterprises to move to the cloud. The competition in the cloud is the competition in AI. With Huawei's strategic investment in the field of AI, we are confident that we will take the lead in the new track of the cloud. With more and more terminals and applications, and the experience is becoming more fragmented, Huawei builds a full-scenario intelligent experience for users, making it more accurate for services to find people and more convenient for people to find services." Ken Hu emphasized that Huawei's continuous innovation and breakthroughs are not only investing in the present, but also in the future, not only pursuing business success, but also promoting industrial development and social progress, so that more people, families and organizations can benefit from the intelligent world of the Internet of Everything.

Xu Wenwei, director of Huawei's board of directors and president of the Strategic Research Institute, announced that Huawei is entering the era of Innovation 2.0. Innovation 2.0 is based on vision-driven theoretical breakthroughs and basic technology inventions. Xu Wenwei said: "Huawei Strategic Research Institute is a research institute responsible for cutting-edge technologies for more than 5 years. Through annual cooperation funds of 300 million US dollars, it supports the academic community to carry out research in basic science, basic technology, and technological innovation. It is an important part of Huawei's technology system. Huawei will work with universities, research institutions, etc. to promote theoretical innovation and basic technology innovation to illuminate the industry and the world."

Huawei is promoting innovation and upgrading, and is determined to lead the industry in five aspects: redefining technology architecture, redefining product architecture, leading the industry rhythm, redefining the industry direction, and creating the industry. Wang Tao, Executive Director of Huawei, Chairman of the Product Investment Review Committee, and President of ICT Strategy and Marketing, pointed out in his speech: "Connectivity, computing, and cloud are the three major infrastructures of the intelligent world, and AI is the core driving force that accelerates the arrival of the intelligent world. Redefine Moore's Law, challenge Shannon's limit, and connect the world; redefine computing architecture to make computing power more abundant and economical; build a hybrid cloud to enable industry digitalization; full-stack, full-scenario AI to make intelligence all-encompassing." Wang Tao said: Innovation leadership will become our long-term pursuit, and Huawei's R&D investment will continue to increase; we will continue to break through the limits and work with partners to build an intelligent world where everything is connected.

Huawei's first analyst conference was held in 2004, and it has been held for 16 consecutive sessions. This analyst conference will be held from April 16 to 18, 2019, during which multiple sub-venues will be held for many industry experts from home and abroad to communicate and share their views.
