It is understood that the speed of 6G network will be 50 times that of 5G network, and the delay time will be greatly reduced, which will also promote the further development of industries such as telemedicine and distance education.

At present, after 5G networks have been commercialized in many countries, companies led by Huawei, Samsung, LG Electronics, Apple, and ZTE have started the research and development of 6G-related technologies.

Although Huawei, Samsung, LG Electronics, Apple, ZTE and others have started the research and development of 6G technology, it will take a long time for 6G to be commercialized. It is reported that it usually takes about 10 years for a new generation of communication technology to go from research to commercialization.

Many local operators, equipment suppliers, terminal suppliers and other companies have released 6G white papers and made some preliminary 6G layouts and predictions.

In April, Huawei's rotating chairman Xu Zhijun said at the Huawei Global Analyst Conference that 6G will be launched on the market around 2030. In July 2020, Samsung Electronics stated in a white paper that 6G communications are expected to be commercialized as early as 2028 and will become mainstream in 2030.

At this stage, 5G has just been commercialized and 6G is still in the early stages of research and development, so its commercialization will still take many years.
