As a global strategic partner of Check Point and also the highest-level five-star partner, NTT has very extensive cooperation around the world and in mainland China. According to the analysis of the GTIR global threat intelligence report released by NTT Security, information security threats have become a major threat factor affecting customers' core data, network infrastructure and core production systems during the digital transformation process. Especially when many customers begin to use a hybrid model of public and private clouds to achieve rapid implementation and elastic expansion of digital transformation businesses, how to protect against security threats in the cloud, achieve unified management of security policies, and quickly respond to security incidents, as well as prevent unknown threats are urgent issues currently faced. NTT combined with Check Point's Infinity overall security architecture can provide customers, especially those in the manufacturing and financial industries, which are basic industries that are critical to the national economy and people's livelihood, with comprehensive protection and continuous operation from infrastructure to cloud assets and mobile terminals. “Security threats are becoming more frequent and sophisticated, but SMBs lack the expertise, staff, and IT budget to combat them. They need security solutions that are simple to use, evolve as the threat landscape evolves, and combine communications and security capabilities into one,” said Chris Rodriguez, research manager, Cybersecurity at IDC. “Check Point’s Quantum Spark family of next-generation firewalls is designed specifically to protect SMBs from the latest security threats, is easily managed in the cloud or on the go via a mobile app, and offers optimized Internet connectivity such as WiFi, fiber, GbE, VDSL, and 4G LTE wireless in an ‘all-in-one’ solution. Quantum Spark is also optimized for delivery via a managed service provider monthly subscription, making security a reality for SMBs on any budget.”
• Superior security through automated threat prevention technology: All models offer Check Point's award-winning SandBlast zero-day protection, up to 2Gb of threat prevention performance and more than 60 threat prevention-specific security services. • Automatic setup in 60 seconds: All models feature zero-touch configuration, providing full protection out of the box in less than a minute. • Flexible Connectivity: Quantum Spark gateways not only offer users a wide range of connectivity options including Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi and an integrated LTE cellular modem, but also support multiple Internet service providers and performance-based routing to deliver exceptional bandwidth and quality of service for applications. • Simple and Intuitive Management: Check Point's "WatchTower Mobile App" allows users to monitor security status and quickly implement threat mitigation measures directly from their mobile devices. Users can also manage security from any browser using a cloud-based portal with an intuitive web user interface. • Comprehensive protection for remote workers and cloud applications: In addition to the network protection provided by Quantum Spark gateways, enterprises can protect all laptops and PCs from threats such as malware, ransomware and phishing with Check Point Endpoint Protection, protect employees’ smartphones with Check Point Mobile Protection, and safeguard emails and documents with Check Point Email Protection.
• Rapid ROI and Sustained ROI: CloudGuard paid back its initial investment in less than 3 months, with a 3-year ROI of 169% and a net present value of $1.25 million. Quantified benefits include increased employee productivity, reduced data breach costs, reduced development time, and reduced compliance and audit costs. • Simplified security management: CloudGuard provides single-console visibility and control across an organization’s multi-cloud environments, helping to create consistent, centralized security policies, eliminate duplication of errors, and reduce maintenance efforts and training requirements. • Flexibly protect workloads across multiple clouds: With auto-provisioning, auto-scaling, and auto-policy updates, organizations can automatically protect workloads. CloudGuard provides customers with continuous visibility, analysis, and control over their cloud security posture from CI/CD to production environments. • Real-time security compliance: A major concern for customers is meeting regulatory requirements such as HIPAA. CloudGuard provides real-time compliance monitoring, improves quality, and automates reporting, significantly reducing audit efforts. NTT Ltd. recently released the 2021 Global Threat Intelligence Report (GTIR), which reveals how hackers are taking advantage of global instability, targeting key industries, and shifting to common vulnerabilities in remote work. Attacks on healthcare, manufacturing, and finance have all increased significantly (200%, 300%, and 53%, respectively), and these three industries accounted for 62% of all attacks in 2020, up 11% from 2019. As enterprises increasingly adopt technologies such as virtual and remote access to support remote work, attacks targeting specific applications and network applications have doubled, accounting for 67% of all attacks, more than doubling in the past two years. The healthcare industry has been hit the hardest as it shifts to remote health and care, with 97% of attacks coming from the network or specific applications. GTIR provides deep insights from NTT Cybersecurity Consulting, scoring the maturity of an industry's security plan, with higher numbers indicating more mature action plans. The survey results show that healthcare and manufacturing industries have relatively low maturity scores, at only 1.02 and 1.21, respectively. These are down from the 2019 baselines of 1.12 and 1.32, while the attack rates have increased significantly. On the one hand, the maturity score of the manufacturing industry has continued to decline over the past three years, most likely due to changes in the business environment and the evolution of attacks; On the other hand, the Financial Industry continues to show the highest maturity benchmark score for the third consecutive year, at 1.84 (down 0.02 from last year). Mr. Lu Zhihong, CEO of NTT China, said: “Last year, we predicted a surge in targeted attacks, and today it has proven to be true. While these industries are doing their best to maintain essential services, the decline in security standards is still shocking. As companies migrate services to the network to adapt to the new normal and use digitalization to enhance business resilience, they must be particularly vigilant in adhering to and maintaining security best practices.”
Malware is evolving <br /> Cryptomware is surging while Trojans are becoming more common While malware has become increasingly commoditized in features and functionality, it has also become more diverse in the last year as versatile malware has grown. Cryptojacking has replaced spyware as the most common malware in the world, but malware targeting specific industries with certain variants continues to develop. Worms frequently appear in the financial and manufacturing industries; the healthcare industry is affected by remote access Trojans; the technology industry is targeted by ransomware; and the education industry has been hit by cryptominers as mining has become popular among students. NTT provides comprehensive operation and maintenance services: NTT provides customers with overall managed operation services based on the ITIL service architecture, including security information asset maintenance, fault event management, availability management, capacity and performance monitoring and prediction, configuration and service change management, and 7*24 hours on-site support services. NTT follows international standards to develop its own service framework and service content, providing customers with a solid guarantee for the on-schedule operation of project launch and operation commissioning. In addition, NTT adheres to the concept that security is based on operation to generate value, and provides customers with solid support and guarantee throughout the entire life cycle of safe operation and maintenance, so that customers do not have to worry about the adaptability and security of their own infrastructure while their new businesses are developing rapidly.
